Pre-Construction Services
What happens before construction
This is the first phase of any project, where we lay the groundwork that ensures smooth operation throughout construction and delivery that is on-time and within budget.
When we are referred to your project, we complete a site assessment and issue you a report on our findings and recommendations. This typically includes a definition of the project scope and limitations, a proposed timeline for the completion of each phase, and an estimate on the costs associated with the work.
After this, we put the rest of the pieces together before breaking ground. No two projects are the same, and so we tailor each point of preparedness to your unique considerations.
Items we address in the pre-construction phase typically include:
Pricing: An estimate of what the project will cost, judgement of the feasibility of this price, and proposed routes for obtaining the necessary funds.
Scope Definition: A concise agreement on what the project will and won't include, to avoid confusion and accommodate existing limitations.
Risk Management: Identification of existing or potential issues that will be faced throughout the work, and actionable plans for how to deal with them.
Schedule Projection: A timeline that outlines each phase of the project and when will be delivered.
Design Coordination: Establishing the details of changes to be made and aligning them with the overarching goals and budget of the project.
Permit Procurement: Requesting authorization as needed from the relevant authorities.
Subcontracting: Hiring and managing the subtrades that will complete the job within the defined scope and schedule.
